Well… Looks like I’m going to have to knuckle down and actually finish my playthrough of this before you guys get to where I left off. Not that I don’t have a lot of time before that; I got pretty far in before I got distracted.
It is a really cool game so far, though. And I truly love playing as Emily (both because some of her powers are friggin’ badass and because she’s, y’know, the ACTUAL PROTAGONIST OF THIS STORY). I’m not sure I’ll ever have the heart to play this game as Corvo.
Excited for this. Loved the first game despite its flaws and the SW season. Never got around to this one, with the pc launch troubles, never got back to it afterwards. Happy to experience it here, maybe pick it up in a sale. Already the ghost shenanigans have started so it’ll be an entertaining season.
I liked dishonored 1, a lot. Pretty much all of it in fact, more so than the DLC/Daud stuff which I wasn’t so fond of.
I started Dishy 2 a while back as Emily, got to about the fourth area and then decided to restart. So now I’m near the start as Corvo. Gonna try and ghost my way through, but we’ll see how that goes (already better than Josh, but of course I’m willing to reload more often than he will be).
It’s really interesting about going a bit too fast in the beginning. The captain of the guard is actually a really good example of that. You actually learn later on that she’s childhood friend of Emily’s and she helped her stave of assassin’s when they were 12? (From memory). Then Alexi (that’s her name) rose up through the ranks as a commoner. Watching the start again, it makes sense why she appears to linger on her for a bit longer.
I feel like they could spend maybe 5-10 minutes more here to establish the characters.

I’ve never played this game or the first one, so this should be interesting.
