All I could imagine when you knocked out the guard by banging his head against the ground is the old bark common to guards and other NPCs in a surprising amount of games. Set scene:
Guard 1 comes to find smashed the skull of his friend laying on the ground. Guard 1 then looks around for a second worried and then calms down. “Must have been the wind.”
Two things I thought you might bring up in this video:
1. Bonecharms – with the new crafting mechanic it’s far too easy to hoard a bunch of good ones. You can break down a normal bonecharm and make a 2-powered one with no risk of corruption thereby doubling your available slots with minimal effort (although each power can only be used once).
2. Dark vision – Feels like it has a much smaller range this time around, as shown by Josh being unable to see the guard up in the library area in this video despite him otherwise being well within visual range. Positive for this is that I don’t tend to use dark vision much, unlike in Dishy1 where I would rely on it far too much.
It’s kinda telling that they have two different styles of subtitles ready for when the game is talking over itself. (And now I’m hoping that the controls for turning each type off & on are buried in two completely different sections of the Options menu.)
You know when you stub your toe or burn yourself, and there’s an immediate sharp pain which hits in milliseconds but just as swiftly goes away, and there’s a brief moment of nothingness where you know in just an actual second or so there’s going to be a proper wave of pain washing over you for which that initial stab was just the overture?

I’m guessing when the guards get hit by a dart it’s a little like that. 🎯 There’s the immediate frown response, but before they ever get to the equivalent second stage the dart has done its work and neurologically headed off any further possible action other than keeling over.
