I’m going to have to disagree that this game isn’t well-written, especially in light of the events in Death of the Outsider. Their handling of time travel and alterations to events is pretty well-done, enough to make me wonder if they had it planned from the beginning, or if the devs on DoTO were just clever enough to make it work.
As for Delilah’s plan not making sense, I’m not sure what you mean. Her magic works through paintings and art, so “painting a spell” follows from her previous actions and powers. The only thing I didn’t quite get was why, after being knocked out by us, immediately thought the painting spell would work and jumped into the canvas.
